North Carolina shark attacks: No lifeguards even after two children lose limbs
June 16 , 2015
Officials in Oak Island, a town in the US state of North Carolina, said that beaches will be kept open without lifeguards even after two young swimmers lost their arms in suspected shark attacks near the coast.
The town’s authorities, however, said they will “eliminate” any shark if it is perceived to be a threat.
A girl, aged 12, and a boy, aged 16, became victims of the shark attacks off the Oak Island coast.
