No ceasefire, abducted girls married off: Boko Haram
November 2 , 2014
Boko Haram has mocked the Nigerian government’s claims of a ceasefire agreement, saying no such deal had been reached and the more than 200 schoolgirls abducted by the militant group in April had been married off and converted to Islam.
Two weeks ago government officials had announced a deal had been made with the Islamist group.
In a video released by the militants, their leader Abubakar Shekau said the abducted girls have “memorized two chapters of the Quran” and were living in “their marital homes”.
