Nigerian forces 'recapture' Chibok town
November 17 , 2014
Nigeria’s army says it has retaken Chibok town, the place from where 276 schoolgirls were kidnapped by Boko Haram in April, according to media reports.
The northeastern town was reportedly run over by the militants a few days ago.
Reports said that Nigerian troops together with vigilantes pushed out the militants from the town.
In a message on Twitter, General Chris Olukolade said soldiers had “dismantled the terrorists assault” on Chibok and were in pursuit of the extremists.
