New York ferry crash injures 57 people

A New York passenger ferry crashed into a dock during the Manhattan rush hour on Wednesday, injuring 57 people.
According to officials, one person suffered a serious head injury.
The Seastreak Wall Street ferry hit the pier as it docked around 08:45 am local time after a trip from New Jersey.
The 340 passengers who had boarded the 141-foot ferry had queued up to disembark and were thrown to its deck by the impact of the hard landing.
The collision tore a large hole along the vessel’s bow.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has visited the scene along with senior police, fire and emergency management officials.
