Navy officer fired from post over Iran's detention of 10 US sailors

The commander of 10 US sailors who were briefly detained after entering Iranian territorial waters in January has been fired. According to media reports, the US Navy in a statement said that it had lost confidence in commander Eric Rasch. At the time of the incident, Rasch was in charge of a riverine squadron. The Navy said that Eric Rasch had been relieved of his command duties and reassigned.
