Nauru Demands China's Apology after 'Crazy' Behaviour of its Delegates
September 7 , 2018
Nauru, a tiny pacific nation, has demanded China to apologize after a recent delegation in which China's delegates stormed out. The gathering took place at Nauru with 18 regional leaders. There was a row as Baron Waqa, the Nauru's President, stopped the delegation head of China, Du Qiwen, from delivering a speech on the change in climate. The rest of the Chinese delegates responded by abruptly leaving the meeting.
Hua Chunying, the Chinese Foreign Minister spokeswoman, has stated that “The relevant person should have understood that only those who behave with dignity will win respect from others. The same is true for a country. Big or small, one country should conduct itself with dignity and self-respect.”
