Narendra Modi set to expand cabinet
November 7 , 2014
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to expand his cabinet in the next few days. Media reports indicate that he could include seven to 10 new ministers.
The cabinet expansion comes five months after Modi led the BJP to an outright victory in the national elections. In May, 45 MPs were sworn in as ministers.
Manohar Parrikar, the BJP chief minister of the western state of Goa, could become the union defense minister, replacing Arun Jaitely, who currently holds charge of both defense and finance, according to media reports,.
