Musharraf granted bail after house arrest
November 5 , 2013
Pakistan's former military ruler Pervez Musharraf has been granted bail after being under house arrest for six months.
Although, this decision ends his arrest at home, he is still not allowed to leave the country. One of his lawyers said he plans on staying in Pakistan and attempting to return to politics.
A defense lawyer said there was no evidence that tied Musharraf to the death of the radical cleric, who died in the 2007 mosque siege in Islamabad. Families of victims have called this decision "a murder of justice."
Musharraf still faces three other cases including the death of the former PM of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto.
