Mother of All Marches in Venezuela Leads to Deaths and Injuries

  • As per reports, at least two people were killed and many others were injured in a mass anti-government demonstration in Venezuela. The opposition billed the demonstration as 'Mother of all Marches'.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the head near Caracas. Several hours later a gunfire during a rally led to the death of a woman in the Andean state of Tachira near the Colombian border.

A legislator was hospitalized and opposition leader and former presidential candidate Henrique Capriles were seen choking of teargas.

Reports also say that a group of youths tore down street signs and billboards. They also launched rocks and Molotov cocktails against police and national guardsmen who then responded with tear gas in cat-and-mouse skirmishes.

Another protest has been called by the opposition on Thursday.
