Morocco's king revokes his pardon
August 5 , 2013
It is the first time time in recent history that a Moroccan sovereign has reversed his pardon. This happened after protests regarding a Spanish pedophile's case took place. The man named Daniel Galvan Fina is in Spain now and it is not clear if he'll be brought back to Morocco. Galvan Fina is said to have raped 11 children between the ages of 4 and 14.
King Mohammed VI said he has ordered an investigation into the pardons process and is looking to see how it would be undone. The decision was taken in regards to the rights of the victims and the gravity of the Spaniard's crimes.
Galvan Fina had left Morocco soon after he was pardoned and he now might have to spend the remaining 28 years in a Spanish prison.
