More Nigerian girls missing than initially reported
April 22 , 2014
Islamic extremists reportedly kidnapped nearly 234 girls from the northeast Nigerian school and the number is a lot more than the initially reported 85 by the education officials.
Parents mentioned to the Borno state governor that officials wouldn't pay attention to them while drawing up their list of missing girls. Security sources said they haven't been able to rescue any of the girls and other town residents and parents have joined the search as well. The Boko Haram militants are believed to be behind the abduction since they have previously kidnapped young women in order to use them as cooks and sex slaves.
