Modi hits out at Pakistan for conducting 'proxy war'
August 12 , 2014
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has slammed Pakistan’s “proxy war” on India, according to media reports.
He said India’s western neighbor had “lost the strength to fight a conventional war, but continues to engage in proxy war of terrorism.”
Modi, who was addressing troops in the northern region of Leh, said India’s armed forces were suffering greater casualties from terrorism than in the battlefield.
Modi will make his first Independence Day speech as prime minister on August 15.
