Modi, Abe to discuss security, business

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss security and economic matters with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, as per media reports.
The two Asian leaders are meeting as China becomes a more dominant power in the continent. On the agenda of the two countries is a pact on nuclear energy and rare earths.
The Indian PM said the visit would take “our strategic and global partnership to the next higher level.”
An agreement to develop Varanasi, Modi’s parliamentary constituency, into a ‘smart city’ in partnership with Kyoto, was signed.
