Missing jet may have flown for 4 hours after losing signal
March 14 , 2014
The mystery regarding the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 just got a little more confusing: US investigators stated that the aircraft flew for four hours after contacting air traffic controllers for the last time. This fact means that the plane could be anywhere in the area.
Malaysia's transportation minister, however, denied the report and called it inaccurate. He mentioned that there were no transmissions from the plane after the contact was lost.
Sources mentioned that their belief is based on the automatic transmission of data from the Boeing 777's engines. An aviation industry observer had already noted that it wasn't possible for the plane to have flown so long without getting spotted.
Meanwhile, no trace of debris has been located as of yet.
