Military officials from North and South Korea hold talks
October 15 , 2014
North and South Korea are holding high-level military talks after almost seven years, media reports have claimed.
However, there has been no official comment on the talks from either side. The talks between senior military officials from both sides are being held in a village in the demilitarized zone, reports appearing in the South Korea media said.
In two recent incidents, the two Koreas have exchanged fire across a disputed maritime area and the land border.
Before this, major talks were held in December 2007, reports said.
