July 13 , 2014
Militants killed at least 29 people, most of them women, in eastern Baghdad.
Some reports indicated that a Shia militant group may have carried out the attack on the Zayona residential complexes, but no one has claimed responsibility.
In separate incidents, suspected Isis militants targeted Haditha city, which was defended by tribesmen and Iraqi security forces. Meanwhile, Iraqi fighter planes hit a bridge which was in the hands of Sunni militants not far from Falluja.
