Migrant crisis: David Cameron offers additional fencing and sniffer dogs
August 1 , 2015
UK prime minister David Cameron has offered extra fencing and sniffer dogs to help Calais deal with the migrant crisis.
Cameron spoke to French president Francois Hollande on phone and the two leaders agreed to work towards tackling illegal immigration.
The British PM has warned that this would remain a “difficult” issue through the summer.
Migrants have made thousands of attempts to enter the Eurotunnel terminal, disrupting train services and schedules of lorry-drivers and British holidaymakers.
