Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte has suspended the search for remains of victims of the Malaysia Airlines plane that crashed over east Ukraine after the fighting between separatists and Ukrainian forces intensified.
A majority of the victims of Flight MH17 were Dutch.
Meanwhile, Australia is pausing for a day to mourn for the 38 passengers from the country who were killed in the crash. “We will give thanks for their lives and we will pray for their loved ones,” Australia’s prime minister Tony Abbott said.
