Mexico Reports New Highest Single Day Fatalities On Thursday

  • Mexico records the highest number of deaths on Wednesday since the Covid-19 pandemic began. As per the health officials, about 1,092 Coronavirus related fatalities were identified in 24 hours - which is more than double the previous single-day record. The previous high of 501 deaths was reported last week. With the additional fatalities in the last 24 hours, the country's total number of fatalities stands at 11,700. However, Deputy Health Secretary Hugo Lopez Gatall has consistently said that the vast majority of deaths reported did not occur on the same day. Late counting has attributed the doubled in number.
