Mexico gang 'killed students, burned bodies'

  • Suspected members of a gang in Mexico have confessed to killing over 40 missing students, according to Jesus Murillo, the country’s attorney general.

Murillo said three suspected members of the Guerreros Unidos gang had claimed that the police handed over the students to them. While some were already dead, the gang members shot and killed the others, and then set afire all the bodies, according to the claims.

The 43 students have been missing since September 26 after they were involved in a clash with the police in Iguala town in a case that has shocked Mexico.
