Mexico: Death toll rises to 89 in the pipeline blast

  • The death toll rose to 89 in the Central Mexico blast which took place on Friday. It is reported that nearly 60 people are hospitalized and are undergoing treatment. The explosion in Mexico took place after a ruptured pipeline exploded on Friday evening. As per governor of the State of Hidalgo, some victims had minor injuries who received treatment at Shriners Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Some people have been transferred to the US for further treatment. The blast occurred because people illegally tried to steal fuel at the Tuxpan Tula pipeline. The culprits of the blasts are still unknown.
