Mexico all set to Vote Today and Elect their New President

  • Mexico goes to polls on Sunday as the country looks forward to choosing the next President for ending politics-business entente, unchecked corruption, spiraling violence, and scandal-plagued politicians. During the historic election, people of Mexico will not only choose the country’s President but also 3000 posts that include a new Congress, municipal seats, and multiple governors. Four contenders for the President’s post are National Regeneration Movement’s Leftist front-runner Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Institutional Revolutionary Party’s Jose Antonio Meade, National Action Party’s Ricardo Anaya, and independent contender Jaime Rodriguez. Reports say the former Mexico City mayor, 64-year-old Lopez Obrador is leading by over 20 points over his nearest rival.
