Mass at Madison Square: Care for the 'less fortunate', urges Pope
September 26 , 2015
Pope Francis celebrated mass at New York City’s famous Madison Square Garden, attended by around 20,000 people, with thousands more queuing up in nearby streets.
The Pope said the “great light” must “shine on every corner of this city”.
He urged the residents of New York — and all other great cities — to take care of those who are less fortunate, the homeless, the aged, and those standing at the edges “in deafening anonymity”.
