December 2 , 2014
Maoist rebels in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh have killed at least 14 paramilitary personnel, according to media reports.
The Maoists ambushed a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) team in the state’s Sukma district while the policemen were carrying out a raid on a rebel position in a forest.
According to a spokesperson of the CRPF, the rebels used local villagers as human shields due to which the policemen could not “retaliate with full force.”
