Man who killed his daughter in Pakistan had approved of marriage
May 30 , 2014
The husband of a woman in Pakistan who was killed by her own family over her marriage, spoke about the tragic incident. "We were shouting for help, but nobody listened," Mohammad Iqbal said, adding that it's shameless for the authorities to stand by as Farzana Parveen's own father helped murder her.
Moreover, Iqbal told the Guardian that the family had actually agreed to their marriage, but changed their minds over money later on.
"They got into trouble with their house expenses and they demanded more money. Because I have more land than them, they think I am rich," he said. Police are still searching for everyone who was involved in this attack in Lahore.
