November 19 , 2013
A man, who is believed to have opened fire into the offices of the newspaper 'Liberation' as well as outside a suburban bank about 90 minutes later, is currently being hunted.
The shooter hit a photographer's assistant, who is now in critical condition. No one was harmed in the shooting that happened outside the Societe Generale bank.
Reports suggest that he later hijacked a car and ordered the driver to drop him to the Champs Elysees. He mentioned that he has grenades on him and later got out of the vehicle and disappeared into the crowd.
A helicopter is trying to located the man in the region and people are being encouraged to stay indoors. All major newspaper offices are under security as well.
According to the police, the same man also opened fire at BFMTV on Friday. He told the senior editor in that incident that he won't miss him next time.
