Man drives vehicle into crowd in Austria; 3 killed, dozens injured

  • A 26-year-old man rammed his vehicle into a crowd in Austria’s Graz city, killing three people and injuring more than 30.

The suspect was later arrested, and the area sealed off by the police, officials said. The driver’s motives were not immediately known.

Dozens of ambulances and four helicopters helped carry the victims to hospital.

Witnesses were quoted as saying that the impact sent people flying over the vehicle and many victims crashed into the windscreen.
