Mali: Three killed in rocket attack on UN base

  • At least three people, including a UN peacekeeper, were killed and 12 injured in a rocket attack on a UN base in Mali.

    Two civilians were among those killed.

    An estimated 30 shells and rockets hit the UN base in the north of the country, forcing UN troops to return fire, according to spokesperson Olivier Salgado.

    Security has been stepped up at the base and air patrols are being conducted, the UN said.
