Malaysia arrests eight suspects linked to Bangkok blast

  • Malaysian police have arrested eight people with suspected links to the deadly blast at Bangkok's Erawan Shrine, the police said on Wednesday.

    "So far we have arrested eight people, four of them are local. They were arrested for involvement in human trafficking activities," media reports quoted deputy police chief Noor Rashid Ibrahim as saying.

    The suspects were arrested in Kuala Lumpur and the northern state of Kelatan bordering Thailand. So far, there was no concrete evidence or confessions of their direct involvement in the attack, Noor Rashid said. (Source: IANS)
