Macedonia: Migrants try to charge police lines at border
August 22 , 2015
Several people have been injured as hundreds of migrants tried to charge police lines at the Macedonian border with Greece, after Macedonia declared a state of emergency in the area.
Medical workers attended to the injured after the army shut the border and placed razor wires on railway tracks.
Macedonia’s interior ministry later clarified that a “limited number of illegal migrants” would be allowed in, adding that vulnerable people would be provided with aid.
