    June 21, 2016: Orlando Shooter, who killed 49 and injured many in the gay night club on Sunday, had called 911 and described himself as an Islamic soldier. He made the second call to OPD's Crisis Negotiation Team and asked the negotiator to inform America to stop bombing in countries like Iraq and Syria.

    Orlando gunman’s wife may face charges

    June 15, 2016: The wife of Orlando gunman Omar Mateen can face charges in connection with the attack on a nightclub. 49 people were killed in the attack that took place at the Pulse nightclub. Media reports quoted prosecutors as saying that they were seeking to charge Noor Salman, wife of Mateen, as an accessory to 49 counts of murder and 53 counts of attempted murder. She can also face charges with failing to warn authorities about the impending attack.

    June 13, 2016: More than $1.3 million has been raised by a crowdfunding campaign to aid Orlando Pulse shooting victims and their families. Shortly after a gunman killed 50 people and wounded 53 others at a gay club, Equality Florida posted the GoFundMe fundraiser.     June 13, 2016: Barack Obama, President of the United States, has described the attack on a nightclub in Florida’s Orlando city as an act of terror and hate. He further said that Americans were united in grief, outrage and resolve to defend our people. 29-year-old Omar Mateen went on a rampage at the Pulse club killing 50 people and injuring 53 others. The gunman was later shot dead by the police. Though the ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack but the extent of the militant group’s involvement is not clear.

    Jun 12, 2016 - In one of the worst mass shootings in US history, at least 50 people were killed when a gunman opened fire at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. According to media reports, a state of emergency has been declared in the city. The gunman, who has been identified as Omar Mateen, was shot and killed by the police after taking hostages at the Pulse club. Around 53 people were injured in the shooting. The police have described the shooting as an act of terrorism.
