Libya PM kidnapped for hours
October 11 , 2013
Libyan PM Ali Zeidan was kidnapped and released within a few hours yesterday; the kidnapping happened at his five-star hotel and those responsible mentioned that they only detained him over corruption.
Irrespective of what the militia said, the justice department is calling it kidnapping, the reason behind which was probably the fact that Zeidan gave his approval to the U.S. raid that resulted in the capture of the Libyan al-Qaeda leader.
No shots were fired as the PM was taken away and he was released unharmed as well. Reports suggest that Zeidan is now back at his office.
