Letter bomb sent to French Embassy in Rome

The Italian government initiated a probe after a letter bomb was sent to the French embassy in Rome. According to media reports, the letter, which was delivered to the embassy at Palazzo Farnese, burst into flames as soon as it was opened by an employee who was sorting mails. The building was immediately evacuated and the embassy’s staff has been directed not to open other letters as there might be more bombs.
