Lesbos Hit by Earthquake, Tremors Felt in Athens and Istanbul as well

  • Aegean Coast in western Turkey has been hit by a strong earthquake and hit Lesbos, a Greek island, as well. The tremors of this earthquake were also experienced in Athens and Istanbul. As per US Geological Survey, the earthquake measured 6.3 on Richter scale and its epicentre lay 5 km or 3 miles to the south of Plomari. Plomari is a town located on the coast of Lesbos. Vrisa, a village, was hit the worst with 10 people hospitalized till now.
