Leopard frightens Indians in hospital
February 25 , 2014
Patients admitted in a hospital in India got frightened when a leopard showed up in the city of Meerut and injured seven people.
Reports suggest that the animal entered a three-patient ward after being teased in a warehouse. An official said the leopard stayed in the facility for 12 hours but the patients were evacuated. It smashed through a window after people turned up to tranquilize it and bit a police officer soon after.
The officer said he was "absolutely fine now" and schools and stores have been closed in the city since the animal is still free.
Such incidents are uncommon in Meerut but leopards killed two people in India last year.
