Latin American Countries Reject US President Trump's Military Threat on Venezuela
August 13 , 2017
Latin American countries rejected any kind of military action against the crisis-ridden Venezuela after US President Donald Trump threatened military action against Venezuela. Trump’s military action comment came just before U.S. Vice President Mike Pence is about to begin his Latin American tour of Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Panama. After President Trump’s sudden escalation of US response to Venezuelan crisis, Foreign Minister of Venezuela Jorge Arreaza called all Latin American countries to unite against the US. While Venezuela's Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino regarded military threat of Trump as “craziness”, Foreign minister thanked all the countries that expressed solidarity with Venezuela.
