Lack of access to Aids drugs killing millions: report
December 1 , 2014
Millions of people around the world with HIV die because of lack of access to Aids drugs, a report by a British parliamentary group has said.
Three-quarters of the children with HIV and two-thirds of adults are not being treated though the cocktail of antiretroviral drugs used to treat HIV is quite successful in keeping people well and preventing the infection from spreading.
MP Pamela Nash, who chaired the panel said the report was a “stark warning” to governments on the effects of failing to “address the barriers to access.”
