Kenyan fighter planes target al-Shabab bases in Somalia
April 7 , 2015
Kenyan warplanes have targeted al-Shabab positions in Somalia in response to the Islamist group’s gun attack on Garissa University college last week that killed 148 people.
Two militant camps in Gedo region were hit, Kenya’s military said.
Uhuru Kenyatta, Kenya’s president, has said that his country will respond severely to the assault on the university.
However, it was not immediately known if the bombing raids on Gedo caused any damage to al-Shabab. Some reports indicated that three civilians may have been injured.
