Kenya elections: One killed in clashes between the police and protestors

  • At least one person was killed and scores injured in clashes between the police and protestors in opposition strongholds as Kenya voted for a new President. The elections witnessed a low turnout of 48 percent; however, voting was peaceful in most of the country. But, Kisumu and the Kibera slum area of Nairobi, which are bastions of support for opposition leader Raila Odinga, witnessed tensions.
