Kazakhstan: China Warned about "Unknown Pneumonia" to Cause More Deaths Than Covid-19

  • The Chinese embassy in Kazakhstan issued a warning about "Unknown Pneumonia", which is spreading through the central Asian country after more than 600 people lost the lives to pneumonia in June. The Chinese embassy said that this Unknown Pneumonia has a fatality rate much higher than Covid-19, as it has caused 1,772 deaths already in the first six months, including 628 people in June alone. Though, the reason behind naming it unknown is still unclear along with if the World Health Organization (WHO) had been informed about the "Unknown Pneumonia".
