Julian Assange's Father asks Aussie PM to bring Assange back to Australia

  • WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s father John Shipton who lives in Melbourne has urged the Australian PM Scott Morrison to bring Assange back to Australia. Julian was dragged out of the Ecuadorian Embassy in London (hours after Ecuador stripped the Wikileaks founder of his asylum) by the Metropolitan Police and then arrested. Assange’s father told the media that the Australian Prime Minister and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) should do something in a nuanced manner. John Shipton expressed his shock at how his son was dragged out of the Ecuadorian Embassy on Thursday and went on to say that “he didn’t look good… I’m 74 and I look better than him and he’s 47. It’s such a shock.”
