Julian Assange will surrender if the UN rules against him

  • Julian Assange, Wikileaks founder, has said that in case the UN panel says that he has not been unlawfully detained, he would turn himself over to the United Kingdom police. According to media reports, in June 2012, Assange took sought shelter in the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid extradition to Sweden regarding a sexual assault claim. Assange denies the claim. Assange complained to the UN in 2014 that he was being arbitrarily detained.
