Jubilation in Chile, as People Voted to Rewrite a New Constitution

  • The people of South American nation Chile have voted in favor of rewriting the new constitution. After the counting of about 90 percent of votes, 78 percent of people had voted in support of the change of the country's constitution. President Sebastian Piñera said it was "the beginning of a path that we must all walk together" A mass anti-government protest started in Chile a year ago, demanding the rewriting of a new constitution for Chile.
