John Nash, a renowned mathematician who won a Nobel Prize and whose battle with mental illness inspired the 2001 Oscar-winning film ‘A Beautiful Mind’, was killed in a taxi crash in the US.
His wife, Alicia, also died in the crash in New Jersey, the police said.
The driver of the cab reportedly lost control, and it banged into a guardrail, throwing Nash, 86, and Alicia, 82, from the vehicle.
The Russel Crowe-starrer ‘A Beautiful Mind’ won four Oscars, including the best picture award.
