John Kerry accuses Assad of covering up attack

  • Latest Updates - US Attacks Syria

John Kerry accused President Assad of covering up evidence regarding the "undeniable" chemical attack in Syria. He used the phrase "moral obscenity" to describe the alleged chemical attack and said it should shake the world's conscience.

Kerry mentioned that the United States holds information about the attack, which it will make public in the next few days.

He said the government never meant to cooperate with the U.N. inspectors in shelling the affected site.

The attack killed hundreds of people in Syria and has moved the United States closer to military action. The president has denied having anything to do with the launch of the attack.
