Jerusalem: The Church of the Holy Sepulchre reopened after protest

  • The holiest site of Christianity “The Church of the Holy Sepulchre” has reopened three days after the protest conducted by Christian leaders. The protest was held against the plans to tax Church properties in the city. The Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat suspended the tax plans on Tuesday. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is considered as the holiest place of Christianity. Many Christians believe Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected on the site.
