Japan's Samuragochi holds a press conference
March 8 , 2014
Mamoru Samuragochi's ghostwriter had stated that the famous deaf Japanese composer is not actually deaf and neither is he a composer. However, Samuragochi had promised to hold a press conference and lived up to his word. "I will speak the truth. I will make this my last appearance on TV," he said. "I have caused a great deal of trouble with my lies for everyone."
Samuragochi also stated that he hadn't really pretended to be deaf since the hearing started to return only over the last three years. "I can hear sounds, but the sounds are twisted. Hearing conversations is extremely difficult."
The scandal has done him good since the sale of his CDs have shot up since.
