Japan Avalanche: Eight High School Students Feared Dead

  • As per reports, eight high school students were caught in an avalanche at a Japanese ski resort on Monday and are feared dead.

    Emergency crews are trying to reach the Nasu Onsen Family ski resort, the area of the avalanche, on the slopes of Mount Nasu in Tochigi Prefecture, which is located 200 kilometers north of Tokyo. However, due to poor weather conditions, their efforts are being hampered.

    Reports also revealed that six other students were injured while thirty-two students and teachers got down from the slope.

    The students were associated with a mountaineering club and were taking ski lessons.
