James Brady, former press secretary of president Reagan, dies

  • Former White House press secretary James Brady, who was injured during an attempt of assassination on the then US president Ronald Reagan, has died at the age of 73 after multiple health problems.

    Brady, who later turned into a gun control campaigner, was among the four people injured beside a hotel in Washington when John Hinckley attempted to shoot Reagan in 1981.

    Nancy Reagan, the former first lady, described Brady as the “personification of courage and perseverance.”
