Jamaican Thunder Usain Bolt creates History with 3 Olympic 100m Golds

  • Jamaican Thunder Usain Bolt creates History with 3 Olympic 100m Golds

World record holder Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, returning from a major injury, won his 3rd Olympic gold medal in the 100m sprint. He made it look easy as he crossed the line in just 9.81 seconds. It may not be his best (current world record held by Bolt himself is 9.58 seconds) but it was good enough to make his great American rival Justin Gatlin settle for silver (who completed the race at 9.89 seconds). Bolt’s third 100m title takes him ahead of the legendary Carl Lewis’s two Olympic gold medal wins and the Jamaican sprinter becomes the first person to win 3 successive 100m titles in the Olympic history.
